Never a dull moment with these 2 around! Thank you, Champion Fellowship, for a fabulous time!
One of the most fun events you'll have at your company party or church event is THE BESSIE & BEULAH COMEDY SHOW. We not only do stress-relievers for the holidays, but we have customized Christmas songs and jokes for the whole audience to enjoy. After several Christmas parties with failed attempts at comedy, the BOEING Corporation in Long Beach booked us to do the show for 400 aeronautical engineers. They thoroughly got into the show, and the client called us while we were driving back to thank us profusely.
Book now, as the calendar is filling up fast! Had a blast performing for the second time at the annual Women's Life Conference for the South Central Regional Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Almost missed it---all flights to Jackson were cancelled because of huge storms, but God had other plans! Provided an angel of a driver named Steve Cauble who drove Lisa Whelchel (from "Facts of Life"), Katie and me for EIGHT hours through raging rains and winds to get us safely in Jackson 2 hours before we had to be on stage! God's joy truly is our strength! GREAT time.
The day-long event at Crosswinds went GREAT, and the Holy Spirit was felt throughout the day and presentations. We had a blast with Beulah, and got deep into the Word. The client called yesterday and wants to bring me back for a more extensive outreach. Plus the superintendent of schools goes to the church, and they are talking about me doing their staff development. "The Word of God is not chained!" And the harvest is plentiful.
Put 2 comedians, 3 speakers, lots of parents and grandparents together for a weekend, ready to play and learn from God's Word and what do you get? A fabulous time!!! Had the great honor of sharing the stage on Friday night with a huge hero---Bob Stromberg, the creator and original actor of Triple Espresso, the longest-running stage show in San Diego. I spoke and he did his comedy show after, and we had a wonderful time of connecting. Triple Espresso is still running in 13 cities around the US, and he said when a new venue opens, the original 3 actors go in for a week or so to open it up. His individual comedy show was hilarious. Our brochure is attached here. The next day I did Beulah and spoke for 2 sessions, and one grandmother came up to me afterwards, hugged me, and whispered in my ear, "Thank you. That was exactly what I needed." Another grandpa came up in tears and told me how seriously he took his job of grandparenting. One of the pastors wrote this week in an email: "I want to thank you for leading the Grand-parenting Conference this past weekend. I’m sorry I wasn’t there to hear you, however I have heard many good things from those who attended. There is talk of doing another in the future. I will be talking to you again." Praise God. To HIM be the glory! |
