The day-long event at Crosswinds went GREAT, and the Holy Spirit was felt throughout the day and presentations. We had a blast with Beulah, and got deep into the Word. The client called yesterday and wants to bring me back for a more extensive outreach. Plus the superintendent of schools goes to the church, and they are talking about me doing their staff development. "The Word of God is not chained!" And the harvest is plentiful.
It was a glorious day of training and gaining new friendships, including one of the teachers who was born and raised in BELIZE! I could tell her cracking up in the back while I was telling the brata story, and it wasn't until later in the hallway that another teacher said, "Tell her!" When she did we laughed and immediately slipped into Creole, with the rest going "What are you saying? What does that mean?" Such an incredible, fun time of learning and connection. I got this from the teacher that did all my AV/tech work: Hi Becky, Thank you again for coming to speak to us. I heard lots of good comments afterward about how much people enjoyed your presentation and the points you made....I'm attaching some photos I took.... I'm sure you could tell how much everyone enjoyed it. Thanks again! The Holy Spirit was flowing. You can't imagine the trip it was to walk inside the small church my dad built in l955---the memories of being a 5 yr. old in the church lobby and the little main sanctuary came flooding back with full force and emotion. And now it is surrounded by all sorts of huge buildings and different venues for a church of 1,700. What a glorious day it was! I got to speak 3x in different venues, and when I asked in the 2nd service if anyone in the congregation had been with us back in the 50's, a couple stood up! Bev and Carl Zeismer. Amazing! Everyone was so gracious and grateful to my dad for his calling to start Grace Baptist. It was a supreme honor to be there. On May 3rd I flew to Harrisburg, PA to speak at a women's outreach event for Wesley United Methodist Church. What an amazing experience! After driving for an hour through gorgeous farmlands (never seen so many silos in my life!) and through downtown Lancaster (charming! Right downtown people's houses and porches bump right up to the street, and people are hanging out at home! ) I got to my destination and went to my B&B---a lovely old home with horses and a church in their barn and godly women who worked there, and we prayed. Traveled to the church, passing 3 Amish buggies and their occupants along the way. The evening went so well, and we laughed and cried and had a grand time. God was in every aspect of the evening. |
